I've planned and photographed a lot of weddings, so if I had to play wedding psychic (putting on my gold turban and getting out my tarot cards) I'd predict that you're super excited about your wedding, a bit overwhelmed with planning it all, and really hoping for something magical? 01. I bought an expensive wedding gown, because we had a big event planned. Now that we're eloping, should I buy something more casual?
If you love that fancy dress, then by all means that's exactly what you should wear! The historic buildings and rugged coastline are the perfect setting for a formal gown. A lot of high fashion magazines and online content are photographed right here, and you're going to look beautiful.
A lot of couples come into our events feeling like "this isn't a real wedding" and as the day rolls on, they realize that their tiny wedding was the perfect wedding experience and dressing up felt right.
However, if you're casual by nature, then that's the way to go. The most important rule to follow is to wear what makes you feel like the best version of yourself, confident and filled with joy.
02. How does your hair and make up team work?
We have companies and artists that we have worked with for years. You can book your hair and make up right along with the rest of your package, and have one less thing on your to-do list. Our mobile pros will come to your home or hotel so you can step out the door 100% confident and ready for your wedding day. In some locations outside of the Bay Area there can be a travel fee, and we'll let you know up front if there is. Often we'll ask you to text your artist a photograph or your face and the look you want ahead of time, so everyone is clear on what to expect. Normally we send one artist to do both hair and make up.
03. How do we know where to go on our wedding photo tour? Is there an itinerary?
I'm going to go over what's most exciting to you as far as ceremony and photography locations either by phone or email. I will tell you what the most popular locations are and why couples love them. I'll also be able to give you the pros and cons, for your group's specific needs. For example if you have guests with mobility issues, I will know to keep you on solid ground that your whole party can enjoy. If you have littles with you and need access to snacks and restrooms, we've got you covered. These are the types of things we'll go over in our planning consultation along with any other questions or concerns.
If the area that you think you want to have your ceremony in is completely new to you, don't worry. I have tons of gorgeous online photo galleries of all of our locations that I will email directly to you. It's important to me that you feel excited about your itinerary, and look forward to your wedding day.
We have a team of professional officiants ready to perform your ceremony, offering both male and female options to suit your preferences. Whether you’re looking for a religiously affiliated officiant or a non-religious ceremony, we can accommodate your needs. Our officiants are experienced and dedicated to making your wedding day as meaningful and personal as possible.
04. Who will marry us?
Yes! You can bring a bottle or if you decide to upgrade and add our cake and bubbly option to your package, Your photographer will bring everything for set up and clean up as well. The bus has a food and beverage license so it's legit.

Absolutely! Our videographers are incredible and I cry happy tears every single time I see their work. Because you're having a smaller wedding with us, video is the perfect way to encapsulate your adventurous elopement and remember every single detail for years to come.
07. We've never been to San Francisco, we need help with ...everything! Can you suggest restaurants and things to do?
There's nothing I love more than showing off our magnificent city, while helping you plan a beautiful wedding. I'm happy to suggest hotels, restaurants and fun things to do while you're here. Want to rent a classic car? Take day trips? Find some amazing vineyards or unique local experiences? Whatever it is, we've probably tried it and can give you the scoop. If not, we love to research and discover new things ourselves.
08. What if it rains?
I think this has been the most frequently asked question since I started photographing and planning weddings! The San Francisco Bay Area is really dry for a good part of the year, but if you're having a winter wedding, showers could happen. But, I am SO good at creating new wedding plans on the fly, it might actually be my secret talent. I'm going to make sure you LOVE your wedding location and pictures, even if it's not where you originally planned.
I also have a collection of very nice umbrellas that make atmospheric images truly romantic. I have a huge red umbrella and a large clear umbrella that I brought back from our trip to Japan. (Apparently clear umbrellas are the only ones they sell there!)
In the event of a truly intense storm, there is no charge to reschedule as long as you select a day we have availability.
