The Palace Of Fine Arts is an outstanding location for weddings of all kinds, with plenty of parking. If you'd like a large sit down wedding, you can get a permit through the Parks and Recs department for two hours. If you're having an elopement wedding, surprise proposal, engagement session or a standing room only pop up wedding, then you can just go for it! There's ample wedding photography opportunities as you stroll the grounds around the lagoon and bird sanctuary. Originally built in 1915 for the Pan American Exposition as a temporary structure, the good people of San Francisco raised the funds to make it a permanent park for everyone to enjoy, and I can promise you that you will.
