How to have a wedding picnic that everyone will love!

Forget the stress of creating a traditional wedding, and head outside for your pop-up wedding with a customized luxury picnic! Everyone knows that it's healthy to be surrounded by nature, and nothing feels better than getting married with a gentle breeze and birds singing while you look into your finance's eyes and say your wedding vows to each other. Where's the best place to have a pop-up wedding picnic? Anywhere that feels good to you, is the perfect spot!

Many couples love to head to the beaches to get married. If you're looking for a simple way to elope, having an easy barefoot wedding with your toes in the sand can't be topped. Pop-up weddings work especially well by the ocean, the sound of the crashing waves is better than any symphony, and you won't even need a wedding arch, with the blue water and gentle waves stretched out as your backdrop. Who would want to block that view?

Forests and parks are also other very popular choices and a great small wedding idea. You can save a lot of money when choosing a state or local park as your wedding venue. Most offer amenities such as parking, handicapped access, and a restroom. Some even feature gazebos or pergolas that can be used for your wedding ceremonies location. Just make sure to see what their requirements for permits are, especially if you have over twenty guests.

Matthew and Sophia chose Muir Beach Overlook as their intimate wedding ceremony and luxury picnic reception location. The clifftop is a very popular location for an intimate picnic gathering after your wedding ceremony. With a 360 view of all that surrounds you, they thought that their families would be wowed by the view, and they were right! Shawn (@mrpicnicsf) created an environmentally friendly vegetarian picnic at their request. Their charcuterie board featured several local artesian kinds of cheese, healthy nuts, dates, and apricots. Fruits and veggies, local jams, and spreads were also included. We can promise that nobody left the party hungry!

Their package also featured cutting their wedding cake and enjoying a champagne toast with their guests. It was a beautiful sunny day on the edge of California, and in fitting with the west coast vibe, this was a "green picnic." The plates, cutlery, and glasses were all washable and reusable, creating zero plastic waste. The beautiful wooden tables, rugs, and poufs are part of our regular collection that couples can choose from and are cleaned and reused. Our company is proud to regularly donate to several organizations that plant trees around the world in order to help offset our carbon footprint. We also honor each couple that we work with by donating each New Year's Eve to Plant a Tree for each event that we completed in that calendar year. We'd love to plant a tree for you too!

After their wedding and family celebration, Sophia, and Mathew headed down to Muir Woods National Monument for some beautiful newlywed photos in the redwood forest. The fresh air generated by these centuries-old trees is intoxicating all by itself, but when you're madly in love and just married your true love, it's incredible to walk through this sacred forest. Sweet and goofy describes these two perfectly, and they giggled and snuggled their way through the ferns and forest trees for an hour-long wedding photography session among some beautiful blackbirds and butterflies.

Matthew and Sophia are a very busy couple, and working with us to create a destination elopement for their families to come and share with them was their heart's desire. We took care of all of their details from hair and makeup to wedding officiant, wedding photography, and bridal bouquet. We created a magical setting for everyone to relax in afterward, and they said their day was just perfect.
