Destination Elopement from the U.K.
I’m not going to lie, when I saw Felicity, I KNEW Tom was going to tear up when he saw her come down the aisle. She was radiantly happy and a big part of that was that all four of their children and thirty four guests had all flown over from the U.K. to join them at their wedding on the Mayors Balcony at San Francisco City Hall.
So how did they end up all the way over here? She told me that they chose San Francisco because it had always been one of their favorite places to visit with their family and this time they decided to go big. They planned a three and a half week trip starting in Los Angeles so that the kids could go to the theme parks and the beach, and check out Hollywood. Next, they came up to San Francisco and stayed at the Funston House at the Inn at Presidio, and planned this to be their wedding destination. They thought it would be just them and the kids, but when they told their friends and family, thirty four of them booked flights to be a part of the big day. That’s a LOT of love!
Most little girls dream of their wedding day, but they aren’t thinking about the endless phone calls, emails, midnight Pinterest stalking and asking friends to please refer them to somebody they can trust for that dream wedding. At this point, we’d pretty much assembled OUR dream team of vendors, but we didn’t make it official until now.
Felicity started her intimate wedding day with a visit from Adelina, who does most of our hair and makeup, and raved that she’d never met a better artist, and Felicity works in the bridal industry, so that was really nice to hear…if we were on Instagram I’d have heart eyes.
The sky on the wedding day was beautiful and the bride wore a dress from Dress Me Pretty by Enzoani, and Tom wore a suit from Thornburns in Leamington Spa U.K. The bridesmaids’ dresses were all by Phase Eight. Their flowers were delivered from Paula at Bells N Bloom.
After the wedding, and family and bridal party photos at San Francisco City Hall, they rented a trolley for everyone to tour around the city in, while we focused on their awesome couples wedding photos at the Golden Gate Bridge.
After all of this, they headed to Las Vegas for the familymoon, and then back across the ocean to their farm in the country. We’ve stayed in touch and I’m happy to say they’ll be coming back for a family photo session next summer. Any time we’re able to connect on a deeper level, I feel like I’m in the right place and doing what I’m supposed to be doing. The people I choose to invite to be on my team, share the same excitement for doing this kind of work.
At the time of their wedding, we didn’t do all inclusive packages officially, but now we have started to launch those, so please visit the SF City Hall Packages page to see if an all inclusive wedding package is the right choice for your wedding or elopement. If you’re as busy as Thomas and Felicity, and just want to show up to your wedding without endless planning on your end, then this could be the effortlessly simple wedding you’ve dreamed of.
