Fantastic Wedding Shoot At San Francisco Ferry Building!
A few days ago I had two very special ladies fly into San Francisco to get married at our City Hall. Robyn is a dentist in the Navy, stationed in Virginia, and her new wife Lyndsey is a second grade teacher. There are no words for how adorable these two are! Since, in addition to getting married, they were also playing tourist, they asked if we could add some time to their package and do some shooting around San Francisco. We decided on the iconic Ferry Building as our destination. We had our cab driver drop us off a few blocks away down the Embarcadero, and we did a little post wedding bar hopping and toasting. I mean come on, they had JUST gotten married! It was totally called for. The Hi Dive was very welcoming and the bartender even bought them a round. Everyone loves newlyweds and that was very obvious once we'd done some out door shooting along the board walk and by the trollys, and finally made it to the Ferry Building. They rolled out the red carpet for these two, and were super accommodating. We cruised around the wonderfully colorful stalls selling everything from grass fed beef, to artisan honey and cheeses and some ice cream that looked to die for! My favorite spot of the day was the book store. The ladies there suggested we have Lyndsey climb up on the old fashioned book ladder. The lighting and walls of books were the sweetest back ground, I couldn't have planned it better, and don't let me for get to mention the bike rental just outside that lent us a HUGE old fashioned bike with a five foot tall front wheel...maybe it was bigger, it was enormous. The colors, architecture and unique shops make this a must have for any city engagement or couples photography.
